Speed, Agility, & Quickness (“SAQ”) training is beneficial to athletes of any sport, as its purpose is to enhance a player’s natural athleticism. A common misconception is that an athlete is born with a certain speed and strength ceiling, outside of his or her control. SAQ pair training sessions can increase both players’ performance by focusing on fast-twitch muscle development, power first-step, hand-eye coordination, and flexibility. Over time, each athlete directly improves upon his or her stamina, balance, stability, acceleration, speed, coordination, core body strength, footwork, and much more! The specific areas of concentration depend upon the individual athletes. SMP tailors each SAQ training program to the primary sport or sports of the athletes.
